WHAT IS OPS? 

Optomi Professional Services is a 100% U.S.-based firm dedicated to partnering with clients to fuel technology initiatives.  We provide skillset-focused support through three service channels: consulting, team augmentation and domestic impact outsourcing.  OPS was founded on a mission of giving back and positively impacting our consultants, clients and communities.

 

HISTORY 

OPS was born out of a passion for making a meaningful impact all across the U.S. We began by placing the best tech talent on projects with Fortune-listed clients through the Optomi brand and have grown into what is now Optomi Professional Services.

We strive to be a consultative partner with our clients, not simply place consultants on projects as a transaction.  With a focus on quality and providing value to our clients, Optomi quickly became a market-leading technology talent firm. Through a skill-set focused strategy and genuine approach to engaging with consultants & clients, Optomi established a fresh way of conducting business in the staffing industry as cutting-edge as the technology we represent. 

 

Optomi is inspired by: optimum/being the best/the ultimate, but it’s our serving heart that really sets us apart from the competition. 

 

From the beginning, Optomi has been unconventional. Our business partnership, corporate purpose, core values and road to creating multiple brands are all very atypical. We set out, back in 2012, to create a unique organization… one the industry had not experienced before. The result has been a multi-faceted corporation with accolades of “fastest-growing”, “industry-leading”, “top company culture”, “best places to work”, amongst others.

 

The concept of Optomi began as four friends, vacationing together one Thanksgiving holiday, began nurturing thoughts of creating a different kind of technology talent firm… a firm full of innovative thinking with the goal of serving the industry better while making an impact. Michael Winwood and Todd Black had been in technology staffing most of their careers and had been coworkers for one of the largest firms in the industry. They knew what they didn’t like about other companies in the space and set out to create an organization that was, quite simply, better.

 

After securing financial backing for their innovative concepts, they were off and running. Michael took the reins on business direction and financial decisions. Todd governed all operations while infusing the spirit of giving back and a strong corporate culture. He ensured these laid the groundwork for the innovative company.

 

In need of branding and marketing, they turned to Christen Black to help invent the brand from aesthetic to messaging and most importantly to help define its purpose, core values and differentiators… all critical to establishing the company’s unique position in the marketplace.

 

Once the identity, purpose and mission were defined, the hard work of generating revenue began. With Radka Winwood as CSO (and now President), our client base grew, revenue increased and our need to expand our internal team became necessary to support the growth. With physical locations all across the U.S. and remote support from some of the best and brightest on our team, we are able to serve clients effectively.

 

Optomi’s organic success led to the creation of multiple brands under the umbrella of Optomi Professional Services. With sales in excess of $250 million in just 10 years, our passion for creating a company guided by values and driven by purpose has become our formula for success.

 

Optomi, llc was born (after many iterations of the name) out of a desire to make an impact. We see an impact on the individuals we employ and cultivate into leadership and an impact on the children we support through our Opt2give program. With every consultant we place, Optomi is able to feed a food-insecure child for an entire weekend. Because our purpose-driven philosophy guides us, OPS continues to create other programs to serve individuals and communities. Ultimately we have an incredibly positive impact on the communities we serve through our regular volunteering and the rural revitalization efforts of our Provalus brand.  In Brewton, Alabama for example, the jobs created by Provalus have enabled the community to supply municipal water to the residents… something previously not possible.

 

The brainstorm of two couples, sitting on a beach years ago, has led to an organization comprised of multiple technology talent brands; serving clients for both onsite and offsite needs where culture continues to be paramount to success.

 

Optomi is inspired by being the best. The name has its root in “optimum” (which means being the best; the ultimate). This has been our mantra from the beginning. Though the OPS family has grown significantly, we remain committed to honoring the convictions that led to our creation… being the best, being innovative and most of all being purpose-driven.
